The
first mention of the inn dates back to 1891, when it
was bought by Anton Ettel, an innkeeper and butcher,
as a family house. It has been extended gradually; the
original front façade was started in 1927. The hotel
was finished to the present shape fifty years later.
Go along the yellow tourist marks to the right, past
the cemetery. The cemetery was abandoned before 1989,
since then it has been renovated and is again in use.
Passing the "Duha" boarding house on the left, go uphill
, still following the yellow tourist marks. The first
kilometre from the hotel is rather steep, but the nice
view into the Dolní Dvur valley is worth the effort.
The horizon is dominated by Zvicina mountain (620 m).
From
the forest edge, the slope is more moderate, through
the forest to Hanapetrovy Paseky. Here you can buy refreshments
in the "Modrý" boarding house. Until 1898, iron ore
was mined here. An observant visitor will find the remains
of the mines. From there, you have two options: either
a steeper, but much shorter, green-marked route to Rudolfov,
or to the right, along the bitumen road via Kotelní
Bouda and Rudolfov, back to the Morava Hotel.
The
route takes about three hours by slow walk (children,
elderly people).
